The Florence Music Academy Guidelines
Courtesy Requests
Our lessons are fun and engaging with plenty of positive feedback, but it is simply a waste if the student does not desire to play music. Students are expected to follow their instructor’s directions and listen when they speak. Students are asked to be on campus 5 minutes before their class time, and parents must be ready for pick-up 5 minutes before the class ends. (If a student is not picked up within 10 minutes after their class finishes, a late-pickup fee will be incurred.)
Students should come with clean hands, and should stay home when sick.
Cancellation Policy
We require at least a 24-hour notice if a student cannot make it to class. If canceled, it is up to the individual instructor’s availability whether the class is rescheduled or if tuition credit is given. If the student’s lesson was not canceled over 24 hours before their class time or if the student does not arrive by 10 minutes after the scheduled time, the class will not be offered, and a refund will not be given.
Invoices
Invoices are sent out by email on or around the 25th of every month for the following month. Payment is due by the fifth, after which a late fee of 5% will be added. If not paid by the 15th, no classes will be offered until the account is settled. Feel free to pre-pay your account or set up auto pay through the student portal!
Tuition, Discounts, Fees
Private Classes
Our weekly private classes are offered Monday through Saturday year round and invoiced monthly at the following rates:
Piano: 30 Minute Classes - $25 45 Minute Classes - $35
Guitar: 30 Minute Classes - $25 45 Minute Classes - $35
Voice: 30 Minute Classes - $30 45 Minute Classes - $40
Drums: 30 Minute Classes - $30 45 Minute Classes - $40
Specialized and Group Classes-
Little Musicians Family Music Classes: $20 per class (invoiced monthly or by term)
Group Theory I or II: (6-week session) $120
Music Composition: (6-week session) $120
Music Technology: (6-week session) $120
Discounts and Fees
A Referral Discount of $10 will be applied once per referral to any account listed on a new student’s registration form!
A Second Class Discount of $10 will be applied monthly to any account with more than one class per week.
A Recital Fee of $10 is applied to each student account at the last month of each term to supplement space rental fees for performances.
